Tan Dun is a famous contemporary Chinese composer and conductor, known for his film scores for the films "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "Hero" as well as for his classical compositions, symphonic works and music room he has written.He was born on August 18, 1957, in Changsha Huna and has received several prestigious awards, including the Academy Award (Oscar) for Best Original Score for "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".
Tan Dun's works often draw inspiration from ancient Chinese traditions, rituals and cultures. For example, his "Water Concerto" uses water as a musical instrument and his "Paper Concerto" contains the sounds of paper to create a unique soundscape.
