Desire
(January 26, 2006)
There is a loud crash
That reaches the hill.
You move away from the light.
Black shadows run
Across the jagged mountain range.
They smile as they sweat.
They strike the black bell.
You drink in the liquid light
That floods the cell,
And smell the desire of the powerful
As he flicks his tail.
For the desire of the powerful
Sends a loud crash against the wall,
And the desire of the powerful
—his sweet, dark power—
Still caresses you.
